Matthew’s Café is an opportunity for families in need to receive a free meal in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere on Sunday evenings, a day that was chosen in particular to help prepare people to start their week off right.
We currently serve hot meals to hundreds of community members at GraceWay Village. Each Sunday, approximately 15 volunteers will cook, plate, and serve food to our guests. A light lunch is also available on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:00 p.m.
Additionally, Matthew’s Café has a Sunday Meal Delivery. Hot meals are delivered to 60 seniors and disabled in great need who are living in the public housing communities in Fort Pierce. Teams of 2 volunteer oneSunday a month to package and deliver meals from 4:00-6:00 pm. If interested in volunteering on a team to deliver meals or to ask questions, please contact us here.
Matthew’s Café has seen a tremendous increase in reach within the community, serving nearly 8,400 meals each year. GraceWay Village had the honor of receiving the Treasure Coast Food Bank’s “Agency of the Year” award in 2013.
This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
